        Sodium silicate function: 

        It can disperse and emulsify grease, dirt, and clay. It has an extremely strong and extensive buffering effect on the pH value of the washing liquid, and has an anti-corrosion and gloss protective effect on the surface of metals (especially for light metals like aluminum and copper), glass and ceramics. 

        Sodium silicate purposes: 

        It is the main auxiliary agent of phosphorus-containing, non-phosphorus washing powder, and the concentrated powder, which can be used in metal cleaning, tableware cleaning, sanitation cleaning. It also can be used as the cleaning agent additives for food, meat, dairy processing equipment, clay decoagulant, printing industry deinking agent, as well as textile and papermaking auxiliaries.

Performance characteristics

    Sodium silicate is a colorless solid, density: 2.4g/cm³, melting point: 1321K (1088°C). It is insoluble in water to form a viscous solution, commonly known as soluble glass and silicate of soda. The water solution of sodium silicate is generally called soluble glass, and pure solid sodium silicate is a colorless and transparent solid. 1.    High heat resistance 

     The silicon dioxide mesh skeleton generated after hardening has seen an insignificant strength drop in high temperature. When heat-resistant and refractory aggregates are used to prepare sodium silicate mortar and concrete, the heat resistance can reach 1000°C. So it can be considered that the heat resistance of sodium silicate concrete mainly lies woth the heat resistance of the aggregate. 

2.    High acid resistance 

     It can resist almost all inorganic and organic acids except ********* (HF), thermal phosphoric acid or fatty acids. 

3.    High adhesive force and strength 

     The sodium silicate mainly falls into silica gel and solid, with a large specific surface area, so it has a high bonding force. But its own quality, mixed batch performance and construction maintenance is significant in the strength. 

4.    Poor alkali resistance or water resistance 

        It is soluble in alkali after mixture, so the sodium silicate cannot be used in an alkaline environment. Because NaF, and Na₂CO₃ are all soluble in water without water resistant performance, an acid with the medium concentration can be used to pickle hardened water glass and improve water resistance .

Usage tips

      It is mainly used in the industries such as papermaking, soap, detergent, construction material, precision casting, anti-corrosion materials, textiles, flotation of ores. It is the main raw material for silicone rubber, silicone-aluminum rubber, hygroscopic agent, catalyst and its carrier, brine desalting agent, silicon dioxide and absorbent. 

Packing and storage

·       Bulk: 1. 1.25 or 1.35 metric ton big bags; Powder: Three-in-one compound bag lined with high-pressure polyethylene plastic bag, net weight of 25 kg/bag. 

·       Liquid: It is packed in 200L barrel, 1000L IBC tanks or liquid bags. 

·       It can be packaged as per customer requirements.
