Performance characteristics

Stability: Stable, insoluble in strong acid, aluminum, magnesium, moisture absorption. When exposed to the air, it'll easily absorb moisture to become water-containing sodium sulfate. It transforms into hexagonal crystals at 241℃. The anhydrous substance with high purity and fine graine is called sodium sulfate. Easily soluble in water. Cool feeling. Taste cool and salty. It is easily hydrated in humid air, and transforms into the powder-like water-containing sodium sulfate to cover the surface. Thenardite is produced in salt lakes containing sodium sulfate brine, and it is coexisted with mirabilite, glauberite, epsomite, blodite, gypsum, mirabilite, halite, natron, etc. It can also be generated by dehydration of mirabilite; There is a small amount of output around the volcanic fumarole.

Usage tips

Sodium sulfate appearance and property: Monoclinic system, short columnar crystals, the aggregates present in the form of dense blocks or crusts, etc., colorless and transparent, sometimes light yellow or green, and soluble in water. White, odorless, bitter crystallization or powder, hygroscopic. It looks colorless, transparent with large crystals or small granular crystals. Sodium sulfate is a strong acid and strong base salt of oxyacid.
